FAQs?

Therapy at Home provide a range of programs to help individuals build key functional skills to be happy, healthy and confident as they journey through life.

What age are the programs appropriate for?

Each program has a recommended age range. You can view the age ranges for each program here.

If you have questions about suitability of our programs in the context of developmental age or skill, please contact us for more specific information for the individual participant.

What do Therapy at Home Programs include?

Each Therapy at Home program comes with a therapist-developed online program, a toolbox of resources and support tools, and the option to include an outcome report for your NDIS reviews.

Our online programs are housed on the Teachable platform and contain videos, instructions for activities and downloadables as well as additional educational information for participants and facilitators.

The toolbox aligns with the online program to support your child to engage positively in the various projects, and to utilise the skills built from the program into their lifestyle ongoing.

  • These support tools vary per program but can include:
  • Journals and workbooks
  • Auditory assistive technology
  • Kitchen tools and visual aids to support daily living tasks
  • Tools to support development of strength and endurance
  • Sensory support tools
  • Mindset and wellbeing tools
  • Tools to support independence and executive function

All the tools you receive are specifically selected to help your child maximise the outcomes of the program and are intended to be used to support your child through the program.

An NDIS outcome report can be provided for each program, if you need one to present at your NDIS reviews. You will have access to a customer portal where you can update the participants details and complete online questionnaires to measure your child's progress and improvement, which we will collate to help form your outcome report. If an outcome report is not included as part of your program you will see the option to add one in as part of your order in the Shop. You must select to add it in at the time of ordering as this is not something we can add on later.

Programs do not vary in contents so please be mindful when ordering for siblings.

Do the contents of the program or the toolbox change over time?

The essential components of the toolbox generally don’t change over time unless we are making improvements to the overall program. The specific tools included may differ at times in terms of brand, colour, and other cosmetic differences due to sourcing factors out of our control. This will not affect the therapeutic benefits of the program as intended for the participant. We cannot tailor toolboxes or programs to suit specific requests at this time. If you order a program for multiple children they will receive the same program and toolbox.

When will I receive my Therapy at Home Program
Your toolbox will be dispatched within 5 working days after receiving payment (unless your program is currently on pre-sale, in which case please refer to the program shop listing for shipping dates). Upon dispatch of the toolbox, you will receive instructions via email about how to access the online program through Teachable.
Can I purchase the same program for multiple children?

Yes!

If you have multiple participants with NDIS funds you can place individual orders for them through the website. Please ensure you fill in the outcome report questionnaires for each individual child that you have ordered a Therapy at Home program for. Please note that program and toolbox inclusions do not vary so consider this if you are ordering the same program for multiple children.

How can I pay for/use NDIS funds for my Therapy at Home Program?

At the checkout, you have two options to pay:

- Pay via Invoice

- Pay Now via Credit Card

Once you have submitted your order, we will send you a Service Agreement and then an invoice will be sent to your plan manager, or if you are self-managed, to you. If you are NDIA-managed, we will process the claim once we receive your signed Service Agreement. Once payment is received, your order will be shipped.

For more information about payments please see our page on how to purchase using NDIS funds HERE.

What is Therapy at Home's policy for the durability of fidgets, sensory items, squishy, and stretchy items, and what safety measures should be followed during their use?

Fidgets and sensory items are valuable tools for anxiety relief and concentration, but their durability can vary. The Play Way does not offer refunds or returns for these items unless they are faulty upon opening. Squishy and stretchy items are not indestructible and may not last indefinitely; we do not provide refunds or returns for them, nor are we responsible for any ingestion of their contents. It's important to follow provided instructions, ensure age-appropriate use, and supervise children.

Can I purchase tools from the program toolboxes individually? Or can I get extra for a sibling?

While each program toolbox comes with specific curated resources, we understand you may have unique needs. If you are looking to get extra tools for a sibling, to keep at a second home, or for school, most of our tools are available for individual purchase from The Play Way website.
