Capacity or Core: Invoicing your NDIS buckets

The NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2023-24 outlines the various funding categories that may be allocated in a participant's NDIS plan.

At this current time, we invoice our Therapy at Home programs through either capacity building or core buckets.

The NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2023-24 states the following in relation to these buckets:

Capacity Building: this support category includes assessment supports, training supports, strategy development supports, and therapeutic supports to assist the development of, or to increase, a participant’s skills and their capacity for independence and community participation. It also states that these funds can be used for non-face-to-face support provision.

Core Supports: this support category relates to assisting with, or supervising, personal tasks of daily life to enable the participant to live as autonomously as possible. These supports are provided individually to participants and can be provided in a range of environments, including the participant’s own home. As well as direct service provision, these support items can be used to claim for non-face-to-face support provision.

Replacement returns for damaged or faulty items
We will ensure that we pack your order with the greatest of care and consideration of safety. We offer replacement returns for products that arrive damaged, or if an item is faulty or does not operate within its intended purpose as determined by us. Dented packaging boxes do not fall under this policy.

Change of mind/user error returns
Should you make an error when ordering online, or change your mind when your order arrives, Therapy at Home will consider the exchange of your program for the program you intended to purchase if the pricing is equivalent. The returned toolbox contents must be unopened and in original saleable condition. You are responsible for the shipping and additional postage charges on the return. Therapy at Home must receive and inspect your return to ensure it’s condition is original and saleable, before posting out your exchange. If the exchange is for a higher priced program, an invoice for the difference will be raised and must be paid before the exchange can take place. We do not accept refunds for change of mind on programs.

Refunds

Refunds will be processed promptly and payment made by the same method that you made payment. All refunds are made at the discretion of Therapy at Home.

We take all feedback seriously and are happy to discuss any concerns or issues that may arise on a case by case basis. Please contact us at [email protected] if you wish to discuss any aspect of our programs or toolboxes.

Please see our Terms and Conditions for further information.

Our Programs

What age are the programs appropriate for?

Each Therapy at Home program has a recommended age range. You can view the age ranges for each program here. We have used chronological age ranges as a guide for you to consider in the context of your child's individual developmental needs.

What do the Therapy at Home programs include?

Each Therapy at Home programs and kits comes with a therapist-developed online program and a toolbox of adaptive equipment and support tools. Some of our programs include an outcome report for your NDIS reviews, others have the option to add one on at the cart. Therapy at Home Kits do not have an outcome report option due to the pricing equivalent to 1 therapy hour.

Our online programs are housed on the Teachable platform and have videos, instructions for activities and downloadables as well as training for supporting adults.

Each program comes with a toolbox to support children to complete the various modules in the program, and to engage with and utilise the skills built from the program into their lifestyle for the greatest opportunity to acheive outcomes ongoing.

These support tools vary per program but can include:

  • Journals and workbooks
  • Auditory assistive technology
  • Kitchen tools and visual aids to support daily living tasks
  • Tools to support development of strength and endurance
  • Sensory support tools
  • Mindset and wellbeing tools
  • Tools to support independence and executive function

All the tools you receive are specifically selected to help your child maximise the outcomes of the program and are intended to be used to support your child through the program.

An outcome report can be provided for each program, ensuring you have what you need to present at your NDIS reviews. You will find the online questionnaires to measure and record your child's progress and improvement in your customer portal.

Do the contents of the program or the toolbox change over time?

The content of each program and toolbox does not change over time. We recommend you only order one program per child to ensure appropriate use of funds.

Can I purchase the same program for multiple children?

Yes!

If you have multiple children with NDIS funds you can place individual orders for them through the website. Please ensure you fill in the outcome report questionnaires in your portal for each individual child that you have ordered a Therapy at Home program for.

Each program can only be purchased through one child’s funds. If that program requires an outcome report, we can only attribute the report to the one child who has used their funds to purchase the program. However, this does not stop the second/other children from using/engaging with the program also. The programs and toolboxes are all the same. So, if you do decide to (for example) order 2 Yoga and Mindfulness programs, for 2 individual children, you would receive the same online videos, and the same toolbox inclusions for both children. But each child would receive their own outcome report.

What is Therapy at Home's policy for the durability of fidgets, sensory items, squishy, and stretchy items, and what safety measures should be followed during their use?

Fidgets and sensory items are valuable tools for anxiety relief and concentration, but their durability can vary. Therapy at Home does not offer refunds or returns for these items unless they are faulty upon opening. Squishy and stretchy items are not indestructible and may not last indefinitely; we do not provide refunds or returns for them, nor are we responsible for any ingestion of their contents. It's important to follow provided instructions, ensure age-appropriate use, and supervise children.

Outcome Reports

Will I receive an outcome report for the program?

Some of our programs include an outcome report, others have the option to add it at the cart. Kits do not have outcome reports as the pricing is equivalent to only 1 therapy hour.

You will be required to submit online questionnaires measuring your child's progress before and after the program. This is all housed in your customer portal. Once submitted, we will provide you with your outcome report.

Group Telehealth Sessions FAQs

Included in every Therapy at Home order are four Group Telehealth Sessions with one of our experienced paediatric therapists.

These sessions give you the opportunity to access our therapist's for their guidance and support as you implement your Therapy at Home programs with your child.

How does this process work?

Group Telehealth Sessions take place at 12pm AEST every Wednesday and last for approximately one hour.

When your order is shipped you will receive a confirmation email, which will contain a link to a submission form for your written question, and the link to the session Zoom call. Questions submitted via this link will be answered during the group session. If a question is not submitted prior to Monday 4pm, it will not be included and you will need to re-submit it for the following week’s session. You will have 4 weeks worth of sessions included with your order.

How do I access the session?

Once your order has been shipped you will receive a confirmation email outlining the date and time of the Group Telehealth Session and a link to the Zoom call where the session will take place.

How do I confirm my attendance?

Submitting a question prior to Monday 4pm on the week of the group session will ensure your questions are answered during this session. If you do not submit a question, you are welcome to attend the group session but will not be invited to speak with the therapist on the call. You do not need to formally confirm your attendance with us.

Why wasn’t my question addressed during the session?

If you submitted your question after Monday 4pm on the week of the session it would not have been addressed. All questions need to be submitted by 4pm the Monday before the live session. Please resubmit your question for next week's session.

If your question was outside the scope of the Therapy at Home Program implementation context, a therapist will likely email you a resource or recommendation for where to seek support outside of the group sessions. See FAQ 6 below for 'What kinds of questions can I ask?’.

Who will I be meeting with?

The Group Telehealth Sessions are led by an experienced paediatric therapist from our Therapy at Home team.

What kinds of questions can I ask?

Due to the context of our service and the group nature of these sessions, questions specific to the implementation of Therapy at Home programs will be addressed on this call. We cannot address more complex or individualised questions at the Group Telehealth level. These sessions are to support you in successfully implementing our Therapy at Home Programs with the child whom this program was ordered for.

Here’s an example of what types of questions will be spoken into by the therapist in the sessions:

"I am finding it difficult to engage my child with the puzzles part of the interests program. Have you got any ideas to help me support them to ‘give it a go’?"

"When we’re doing the Lego builds my child is getting so frustrated that they give up and never return to it. What would you suggest I do when this happens?"

The following types of questions are able to be submitted, but due to their individualised and more complex nature, our therapist won’t be able to speak to them on the live call, however they will get back to you via email, where possible, to direct you to any supports or services that we’re aware of that may be able to assist you:

"My child is wetting the bed every night at 12 years old and I don’t know what to do about it- please help!"

"My child is being violent at school and I’m at my wits end - what do I do?"

What do I do if my Zoom link doesn't work?

If you cannot access your Group Telehealth Session via the Zoom link, please reach out to our support team, via [email protected] for assistance.
