With play being absolutely central to child development, the Therapy at Home Sparking Imaginative Play Program focuses on providing children with opportunities to develop their play skills.

Children are engaged to explore a range of play styles through activities themed around transport, knights and space. These activities provide space for children to nurture their construction skills, experiment, problem solve, imagine and connect play-world scenarios to real-world experiences.

Parents are a key focus in the Sparking Imaginative Play Program too. Parents are exposed to hands-on strategies for engaging their children in play, and taught about what to expect and encourage throughout the various developmental play stages.

The program is designed with the belief that there is no ‘right way’ to play. Instead, children are invited to discover the types of play they enjoy best, take the lead in play with their parents and explore themes together.

As always, the program is delivered via online video training and a toolbox that’s filled with play-filled resources.

In their toolbox, children and parents will find a beautiful range of cardboard costumes and playsets from Les Petite Artiste. There are craft supplies, props, a crash pad and more to bring the space, knight and transport themes to life. Plus, you’ll also receive a workbook containing stencils, activities and various tools to support immersion in the play themes.

PLEASE NOTE:The essential components of the toolbox generally don’t change over time unless we are making improvements to the overall program. The specific tools included may differ at times in terms of brand, colour and other cosmetic differences due to sourcing factors out of our control. This will not affect the therapeutic benefits of the program as intended for the participant. We recommend that you only order one program per participant to ensure the appropriate use of funds. We cannot tailor toolboxes or programs to suit specific requests at this time. If you order a program for multiple participants they will receive the same program and toolbox. All shop listing images are representative of the program theme and not necessarily literal representations of what’s in the toolbox.
