The Therapy at Home Gardening Program has been specially designed by our occupational therapists to nurture and support children in undertaking a variety of gardening projects.
The program provides a range of simple and effective activities for cultivating a love of gardening and promoting and encouraging time in nature.
Created for ages 3+ years old.

The Therapy at Home Gardening Program encourages children to immerse themselves in the wonderful world of gardening through a series of easy-to-implement projects. There is a balance of traditional sowing and growing gardening activities and more creative pursuits, such as creating a mini garden and painting cardboard pots for propagating succulents.
The program seeks to develop an awareness of the importance of caring for plants through watering and optimal growing conditions. It also encourages an appreciation for wildlife, as children create their own birdfeeder to attract birds to their garden.
Through the hands-on activities, children will be exposed to a variety of sensory experiences and gain valuable life skills along the way.
This program is also included in the Therapy at Home Bundle - which includes four programs plus a bonus Indoor Play Pack, which is only available as part of the bundle.
What's in the toolbox?
The Therapy at Home Gardening Program comes with a toolbox of resources delivered to your door that aligns with the skill building modules in the online program. This toolbox provides a practical and playful element that your child can engage with as they follow along with the videos.

✓ Cardboard pots and paints for decorating beautiful pots for propagating succulents
✓ Two packets of seeds to sow and grow
✓ Peat pellets to use in gardening projects
✓ Spray bottle to care for the plants and develop hand strength
✓ The Play Way’s Instruction Cards to guide the delivery of the gardening projects at home

The specific tools included may differ at times in terms of brand, colour, and other cosmetic differences due to sourcing factors out of our control. This will not affect the therapeutic benefits of the program as intended for the participant.

Outcome Report
This program does not include an outcome report. You can add one next to the ‘Add to cart’ button in the shop and it will appear in your cart as an additional charge.
Therapy at Home provides the option for an outcome report to be included with all Programs. These reports are a summary of the specific program outcomes measured as a result of participating in a specific Therapy at Home Program. This is not a report for decision-making at the full plan level. This is not a report for an end-of-plan review from which a planner can use to make decisions about future funds at a whole plan level.
